Privacy Policy for Savora

Effective Date: July 10, 2026

Last Updated: July 10, 2026

Savora is operated by Cleavo Applications Inc. ("Cleavo Applications," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how Savora collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Savora mobile application, website, and related services.

By using Savora, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

You may use certain parts of Savora without creating an account.

When you create an account, we may collect information such as:

  • Your email address
  • Your display name
  • Your account identifier
  • Your profile image, if you choose to provide one
  • Authentication information provided through supported sign-in methods

Passwords and authentication credentials are handled through our authentication provider and are not stored by Cleavo Applications in readable form.

Pantry and Cooking Information

Savora stores information you provide or generate while using the app, including:

  • Pantry ingredients
  • Shopping-list items
  • Favorite or bookmarked recipes
  • Recipe ratings
  • Cooking history
  • Cooking streaks, experience, and progress
  • Flavor and cuisine preferences
  • Dietary preferences and recipe filters
  • Nutrition entries and meal logs
  • Recipes or other content you create, when applicable

This information is used to personalize your experience, maintain your pantry, calculate recipe matches, recommend meals, track progress, and provide Savora's cooking and nutrition features.

Savora's nutrition information is provided for general informational purposes only and is not medical or dietary advice.

Guest Data

Savora may be used in guest mode without creating an account.

Guest pantry information, shopping lists, preferences, and related app data may be stored locally on your device. If you later create or sign in to an account, Savora may offer to associate or merge locally stored information with your account.

Deleting Savora from your device generally removes locally stored guest data. Removing the app does not automatically delete information already associated with a registered account.

Usage and Analytics Information

We may collect information about how Savora is used, such as:

  • Screens viewed
  • Features used
  • Buttons or actions selected
  • Recipe interactions
  • Search and filtering activity
  • Cooking-flow completion
  • App version
  • Device type and operating-system version
  • App instance or account identifiers
  • General performance and diagnostic information

We use this information to understand which features are useful, diagnose problems, improve reliability, and make Savora easier to use.

We do not use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

Notifications

Savora may request permission to send notifications for features such as cooking timers and reminders.

Cooking-timer notifications may be scheduled locally on your device. You can manage notification permissions at any time through your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain Savora
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Save and synchronize pantry information
  • Match recipes to available ingredients
  • Personalize recipe recommendations
  • Maintain shopping lists and favorites
  • Provide guided cooking tools and timers
  • Calculate servings and nutrition information
  • Track cooking history, streaks, and progress
  • Improve app performance, reliability, and usability
  • Respond to support requests and feedback
  • Detect abuse, fraud, or security concerns

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Savora does not include third-party behavioral advertising, and we do not share your personal information with advertising networks for cross-app tracking.

3. Local and Cloud Storage

Savora is designed to perform many operations locally on your device.

Recipe matching, pantry availability, and related updates may be calculated using locally stored data so that the app can respond quickly and reduce unnecessary network requests.

When you are signed in, certain information may also be stored or synchronized through cloud services. This may include your pantry, shopping list, preferences, favorites, nutrition history, cooking activity, and account information.

Some recipe images, ingredient artwork, and other public app content may be delivered through content-storage and delivery services.

4. Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate Savora. These may include:

Google Firebase

Savora may use Google Firebase services for authentication, databases, cloud functions, analytics, storage, and other application infrastructure.

Google generally acts as a data processor or service provider when processing Firebase customer data on behalf of app developers.

Cloudflare

Savora and the Cleavo Applications website may use Cloudflare for domain services, website delivery, security, content delivery, and object storage.

Apple

Apple may process information related to App Store distribution, purchases, device services, authentication, and notification permissions according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

These providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services. They are not authorized by us to use your personal information for unrelated advertising purposes.

5. When We May Share Information

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers that help us operate Savora
  • When you direct us or provide consent
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request
  • When necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of some or all of our business, subject to appropriate protections

We do not sell personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Savora, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of our services.

Locally stored guest data generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear it through the app, or uninstall Savora.

Information associated with a registered account may remain in our systems until the account or information is deleted. Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or system logs before being removed through normal retention processes.

We may retain anonymized or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify you.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information associated with your account
  • Correct inaccurate account information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated information
  • Withdraw certain permissions
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of your information
  • Contact us with a privacy concern

You may manage pantry items, shopping lists, favorites, nutrition entries, preferences, and other information directly within Savora.

You may request account deletion using the account-deletion controls available within Savora or by contacting us.

Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete a registered account or cloud-stored information.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, email account, and sign-in credentials.

9. International Data Processing

Savora and its service providers may process or store information in the United States and other countries.

Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards for international data processing.

10. Children's Privacy

Savora is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically toward children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age without appropriate authorization. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information may contact us.

11. Third-Party Links

Savora may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Savora evolves or as legal and operational requirements change.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through Savora or our website when appropriate.

Your continued use of Savora after an updated policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
